Proudly located on the Gold Coast in beautiful sunny Queensland, Pegasus Equine Training is proud to launch its pilot training course - ACM 20221 - Certificate II in Horse Care. Initial applications are being accepted for Online delivery in semester 2 from anywhere in Australia. We are looking for 6 students to test the new program, and, in exchange for your help, you can complete this course for only $995. (N.B. at this stage VetiS and other funding is not available for this course in Australia at this time). In order to complete the online version of this course, you will need to have access to three calm, quiet and consistent horses, and to complete a logbook of basic horse care activities in your own time, over the duration of this course. For students who are local to the Gold Coast, the practical elements can be completed at Pegasus Equine Centre, located at Mt Nathan. An additional fee applies to this option.

Certificate II in Horse Care
This qualification is for entry level horse care workers that are required to handle horses.

Certificate III in Horse Care
This qualification is for more advanced workers including stable hands, stud hands, grooms, farm hands and riders. You may also perform ridden and non-ridden horse exercise and prepare horses for events.
ACM30219
Certificate III in Animal Technology
This qualification is the industry qualification for persons operating at a junior or assistant level and undertaking animal technology functions within a biomedical research or production environment. This is a new qualification within the animal care sector, and covers a wide range of pathology and animal care services.
